CITIZENS KIDS

Citizens exists to create, baptize, equip, and empower disciples of Jesus in Bryan/College Station, and a vital part of that mission includes teaching children to find and follow him.

We love kids and we want to recognize them for the blessing they are.

Our goal is for children to be empowered to lead out of secure belonging, confident identities, and clear purpose- unaffected by the culture of the world around them, paving the way for generations to come.

Kids FAQs:

Do I need to check my child in when we arrive?

Yes! In our kids area at the back of our main gathering room we have a check in table where our volunteers will help you check in and print out nametag(s) for your kids.

Will my child need to be dropped off in their room before church begins?

Yes! Our rooms open for every age at 3:45.

What do the kids do during the kids gathering?

Our 3 month through 3 year olds have age-appropriate toys, play time, and read a lesson from scripture each week. Our Pre-K through 4th grade classes are taught a bible lesson, memorize scripture, and play a fun game together. Our 5th-6th graders are challenged with a deeper bible study and discussion.

Who leads the kids gathering?

Many volunteers give their time each week to set up, prepare the lessons/games, and lead our kids time. All volunteers are required to go through a background check as well as a ministry safe training prior to serving. It is our privilege to get to know your child, build relationships with them, and teach them about Jesus. 

IS THERE AN AREA FOR NURSING MOMS AND INFANTS?

Yes! We have a space directly behind the auditorium dedicated for moms taking care of their infants. A volunteer can help show you where to go!
