Welcome to CtznS Kids

At Citizens, our purpose is to saturate Bryan/College Station with the love of Jesus, and a vital part of that mission includes teaching children to find and follow him.

We love kids and we want to recognize them for the blessing they are. We are thrilled that we have the opportunity to hang out with, teach, instruct, and invest in children, all while having fun together. 

We want to build deep relationships with kids through simple worship and teaching, and by giving generously of our time and energy through our many volunteers.

Things You May Be Wondering

Do I need to check my child in when we arrive?

Yes, in our kids area at the back of our main gathering room we have a check in table where someone can help you check in and print off a name tag for your child.

What ages are included in your kids ministry?

We currently have five classes, serving ages 3 months to 6th grade.

DO YOU RUN BACKGROUND CHECKS?

Absolutely! The safety and well-being of our kids is our top priority, and we make sure that all volunteers must pass a background check and go through our ministry safe training prior to serving.

Will my child need to be dropped off in their room before church begins?

Yes and No. Our youngest classes of 3 month through 3 year olds can be dropped off at the start of the service. All other ages stay with their families during worship and are released to the age-appropriate room during announcements.

Who leads the kids gathering?

Many volunteers give their time each week to set up, prepare the lessons/games, and lead our kids time. All volunteers are required to go through a background check as well as a ministry safe training prior to serving. It is our privilege to get to know your child, build relationships with them, and teach them about Jesus. 

What do the kids do during the kids gathering?

Our 3 month through 3 year olds have age-appropriate toys, play time, and read a lesson from scripture each week. Our Pre-K through 4th grade classes are taught a bible lesson, memorize scripture, and play a fun game together. Our 5th-6th graders are challenged with a deeper bible study and discussion. They also have fun :)

IS THERE AN AREA FOR NURSING MOMS AND INFANTS?

Yes! We have a room dedicated for moms taking care of their infants. It is located in our kids area at the back of the main gathering room. A volunteer can help show you where to go!
